"Attacking Imperialism"

Introduction
Students have read about the debate over U.S. imperialism. In this lesson, students examined several political cartoons that criticized the nation's efforts to become an imperial power.

Lesson Description
Students will visit the Boondocks Web site, where they will view several anti-imperialism cartoons. They will answer questions aimed at testing their ability to interpret the cartoons.

Instructional Objectives
1. Students will be able to interpret political cartoons in order to obtain larger meanings from them.
2. Students will be able to create their own political cartoon about this issue.
